So are we done? dress up the dolls
and scatter the flowers.
We need bugles for a moment or two,
before the cheering starts again.
For all those heroes making us all heroes
Though we weren't born then,
still puff up each, for his medal is my medal
and pride in them is pride in us; Remember!
And watch transfixed the movie of the time
waiting, waiting for the next chance
to be so splendid, waiting
For the war.
