The Coming War

I can barely think, but am trying. Pilger's latest cheery offering has just come to my attention, 'The Coming War with China.'

I typed The Coming War into google, hoping to find search engine goodness in the form of p/reviews.

I found The Coming War with Russia, The Coming War with Japan and The Coming War with China.

If these are all on their way, let's party now and chuck these stupid antibiotics in the Thames  cos tomorrow's looking  busy...and short.

If Trump gets it on with his new BFF and turns away from NATO, sure  Eastern Europe's got problems but I don't see that bothering the US.  Europe gets weaker, and GB's effing stupid if we think that will make us stronger. But let's face it, we are effing stupid.

Coming war with China? Well, Pilger's film looks to lay out the possibilities I guess, but that was before Trump was voted in. Having said that, he did claim that global warning was a Chinese con trick, and he is threatening this tariff thing...But I thought the US owed China masses of money, and China's the world's 2nd/3rd biggest economy. Who goes to war with those lending to them? I am confused. But I guess if Pilger was right  Trump might very much want a genial space with Putin, and that of course is not good for little GB, posturing about a new Golden Age of Trade with China...

Pff. I refuse to even go near The Coming War With Japan.

I have great respect for Pilger's 1970s work, especially the films he made with the Daily Mirror, but these days he is distinctly odd.
