It was always Christmas

When Jesus came to stay
I could believe in peace on earth
And I could watch TV all day...
Rest In Peace George, and thank you. But I won't put that video up, it makes me too sad.So instead, I'll add an old favourite, Too Funky;https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQ2DVwSVIIo
It has been a lovely Christmas, despite the loss of Mr Michael, Henry, and my poor fish. Christmas Eve we spent laughing like idiots with my brother and his partner, Christmas day we went off to some windy-twisty-wherethehellarewe land near Salisbury, right next to Larmer Tree, Cranbourne Chase and other private estates owned by the likes of Guy Ritchie and Madonna.
larians sister has her livery stables there, where life rings like the 12 days of Christmas; 40 horses chewing, 11 dogs barking, 10 chickens clucking,2 cats doing nothing and a family that brings a chocolate cake! My cousins from Spain have not really seen that much of England beyond London, and were charmed by all the greenery, as well as a thoroughly dogified Xmas. We tried to help out with bringing in the horses, filling water buckets, scrubbing hooves etc, but in truth, we didn't do much. Without being a particularly horsey person I love the smell of stables and hay. I must visit my sister-in-law more and help around the place. Quite apart from anything else, she is excellent company. Boxing day morning we went for a walk round the fields in that winter sunshine that makes the air itself sparkle, very clear and bright. It made me feel as though I haven't taken a full breath since returning from Botswana.

This last photo always makes me think of the Follyfoot song. I never really watched Follyfoot but I always liked the sound of the word and place. Here's the song opening the show in gloriously 70s style.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqwJoEGyGMY
