smokingbootToday the air is warm, and the wind is fresh, and everything moves just a little on the hill. There's the sound of rushing water behind me, blooms on the trees, overconfident grass, a few seriously big-ass bees staking their claims to Spring.
I rub our tomcat's head and he flops in the grass sideways, stretching his claws and purring. He may not have the words, but we both know there are no better days than these.
This is the big easy, bright as the sun, deep as the sea. Hello happiness!
