Starting again

My first dream in this house, first that I recall...

I was in a wild place full of water, in fact it was all water bursting through a green wood, and somehow I was in it or riding it. I saw a strange beast, like a water-adapted* swimming camel but with a much smaller hump, and it caught a fish. The fish almost got away but kind of dithered, and the camel caught it again. It never occurred to me that there might be larger things than carniverous water camels in the torrents around me.

I was on a moor. A woman I know all too well had a kind of box shaped house in the wild. She was with another woman, a friend of mine, though in real life they don't know each other. I wanted to warn my friend, 'beware of her; she cannot bear you for long, you are too young and pretty for that.' But in fact, said difficult woman had something to say to me, and it was comparatively helpful. Naturally, in the waking world, I can't recall what it was. I recall speaking to R on the phone and I can't recall that either.

Part of this is, I think, about some bad news which is not mine to disclose yet.

For my own part, life is good in a very householdy sort of way. The home cinema's installed, the new TV is awesome, the sound system's great, the beds have turned up, the bedroom furniture will be here soon, the cat flap is being installed today, and some of the art is going up. Once we have furniture for the cinema room, we're on our way. We crossed to Glasgow for the Kriss Barras band and yes it was a much better performance than his last at Ramblin' Man, though I think his best work's done. I wanted to stay and explore the city, but not this time...

And in all this, my actual work gets lost. Never mind, back to it soon, back to thinking and reading properly soon. My concentration is hopeless because life is so bitty right now there is no flow... Maybe the return of flow is what my dream is about. Maybe.

*Yes, I know they're already water-adapted. I mean the other kind of water adaption.
