An old friend's art

He attempts to capture the strangeness of the place which is a very difficult thing to pin down. I question his choice of music in some parts, but then I tried to convey the oddness of the place with words on several occasions and never quite succeeded.
I should do a series of small bits and piceces about Devizes, but that would mean going back, so no. The only good thing about it was the old oak he passes in the park, a fine friendly tree. There was a gorgeous chestnut tree too, but he doesn't show that, or the canal, but then the canal needs a good day to look pretty.
Oh and when he talks about losing his virginity in the churchyard, all I can do is emphasise that this had nothing to do with me. I remained chaste as snow til I was about 23 and Oh my god I can't believe it, I've never been this far away from home...
