smokingbootI am at a necessary pause in my work. This pause comes at the same time as a friend could use a little input on their pet project, so OK, for a short while I'm happy to help out. And it really must be short; I have a lot to do this year.
This is their creation:

The idea is that the players are given characters to flesh out and play, in a kind of improvised communal drama, which will be taking place on the Island of Lundy. There is an over-arcing plot which has been worked out in advance. I'm late to the party, but happy to help writing a few characters, aided by an extremely patient editor, and a very helpful husband. It's been a long time, with much to learn and relearn.
For example, I have learned to hate sharing work on Google Drive. Last night an entire folder disappeared from the whole team's sight; this was all down to me. I still don't know what happened, or for that matter how it was fixed, only that everything was all right in the end. Just as well otherwise the friend who owns this project might well have driven up to Scotland to hold my head down in my own toilet. Understandable really.
Other things I have learned; my inner eyebrow is as raised as ever.
The rest will have to wait til all's done sometime in Summer.
And right now, for the first time in about 7 days, I'm very tired.

I still haven't seen Midsommar Very much looking forward to it. Enjoyed Hereditary very much ...
