To add to it all, like a goddamn fool, I allowed my family tree to be linked to someone with a connection to one of my ancestors who had a distinctive string of names.
Well, she hasn't checked her stuff at all, and all her mistakes are coming through to me. Research abilities of a manatee.
I am going to have to take the whole tree down and start again. Yes, it's a good thing just to make sure I have a paper trail. Maybe I will find something I have missed. But the woman is clearly a complete idiot. And this is a lot of work for a hobby, but I can't bear to leave it up with so much catastrophic inaccuracy.
As we're having a dry January I can't even console myself with a glass of wine.
