smokingbootHuge chunk of work finished. Time to rest, really rest, and begin again.
Work is a strange thing. As far as I can tell, it just leads to more work if you're lucky. A friend got in touch with the news that some of my Games Workshop stuff has now been turned into action figures;

Made me smile.
Meanwhile, I am trying not to focus too long and hard on our visit to R's parents for their Golden Anniversary. They want us there for a week. An entire week of his politics and her manners! It's like living in a house wallpapered with pages from the Telegraph and the Mail.
Why on earth do we need to be there more than 4 days?
Answer; because he loves them dearly and they have asked for it. They are, after all, good folk and kind family. He is very patient with them (and possibly with his fiery spouse too ;-) ) I applaud and support it.
But by god, it's easier to applaud/support from a distance.

Surya's ashes are still with us. I have a friend who has kept the ashes of all her pets, to join her in her cremation/burial one day. It sounded a bit strange to me, but I'm terrible for getting rid of ashes myself. I still had Mark's ashes in a plastic bag in my handbag when discussing how to get to Dad's funeral. There was nothing conscious about it, I just don't... Well, I just don't easily.
For all I am not grieving now, neither am I ready to let go of even this small remnant of Surya.

Other things; Orb Lord has begun spamming me again. He would have enjoyed the sunset here a couple of nights ago; the cloud formations were insane, somewhat Roger Dean meets lava lamp...
It's the beauty that works for me.
