She's back

Mum contacted yesterday. She was in my dreams too, where she made a lot more sense. In my dreams she was buying a very chic purple chair.

The dreams were strange. Loads of animals had come in through the cat flap somehow; the first I saw was a tuxedo cat like Surya, so I called out to it. It turned to look at me but this was a bigger, wilder looking kitty. There was also this massive spaniel that didn't want to leave. Cat fights were breaking out here and there, and somehow I found that the room was now huge, indeed it was the outside, with lots of dogs resting in a pool, including a boxer who I worried about at first (flat-faced dogs and water are not a happy combination) but it rested perfectly content. Then I began to see wild animals. I came across a tiger cub and noted its mother nearby. It was a good dream for the beginning of the year.

Time to take the decorations down. Normally I would leave them up until 12th night, but no-one else is doing so around here, and there is something forlorn about holding on to the last glitter of Christmas, especially as it looks as though the cold is about to kick in. Last night the neighbour's glowing reindeer disappeared. It's a sign. I cannot fight the omen!

Putting it off because there's a real chill out there. But I guess I had better get on with it.
