All right. An emotional gruelling task that has taken months is done.

I say done. Half done. Now the pain is sorted, the boring bit begins. I have no idea how long it will take, but it cannot be anything like as hard, or as long. Famous last words.

Ah yes, phone call from the private dentist's office. Am I still interested in chucking just under 10 grand at them for three inserts? I haven't decided, and that's my reply.

We could do it, it's not nothing but sure. However, I feel a kind of anger that anyone charges this kind of money for this work, when across the channel you can get the same for half the price, less if you choose. Ah, says the private dentist, but if it goes wrong, no UK dentist would touch it, no-one wants to be liable. All very well. But there are such differences in overseas price levels, not even the cheapest ones, which would make it possible for me to go, get the work done and return if necessary, several times over. Plus the private dentist tried to sting me for just under £600 for a cosmetic/whitening treatment that they know doesn't work on tetracycline staining. So damn straight I am looking around, because I don't like this whole captive market thing, and never respond well to hard sales.

Another realisation; the pills for the tendinitis aren't working. That is to say they do work in getting rid of the inflammation, which stays away until I do any activity that isn't sitting down. Even then, it's perfectly jolly until after said activity is finished. Then, about 15 maybe 30 minutes in, it starts again and it hurts.

R thinks I need physio and he's probably right. More than that, right now what I need is a clear head, very hard at this time. Ys, Ukraine, Putin, all that. Yes, it's not cut and dried, but on a certain level, on the immediate human level, it is just a bloody invasion, taking another person's country, another person's rights, another person's property, another person's life, boots on the ground, bombs in the air. We're not bound to get involved, though this is a salutary lesson never to be forgotten by any country that obtains nukes; never ever give them up, whatever anyone promises.

And Taiwan? Well now. I suspect Putin is Xi's stalking horse, though he can't know it.

I notice my 'voice,' this writing persona actually sounds tired and crabby. I am tired and crabby. I should stop.

Don't want to sound like a complete airhead here, but I take turmeric supplements for inflamation.

And they do seem to help (though whether that's because they're a placebo or because curcumin really does have healing properties, I cannot say. 😀 )
