We did this.
As above
Yes, badly photographed. Can't believe how tired I am. Admittedly the night before last I had terrible anxiety dreams, all fits and starts and half awakenings for fear of oversleeping. This included a dream about the play - which play is it? - that ends with some woman calling out 'Malachi! Oh Malachi!' I can't remember at all. But I know it exists and not just in my dream world. in my dream world I had the line to say but it wasn't mine really, because I was Cleopatra. Never mind.

I didn't oversleep. We got to the Linlithgow Burgh Halls in good time to lay out the exhibition of stories. It was a delight. I'm just going to put my favourite photo here as I am too tired to load 'em all up.

But there was much more to do; as the poster said. there was a foraging walk 'Tales of the Hills' stuff with this person (https://monicawilde.com/about/about-monica-wilde/) who captivated the audience, all tickets sold out, and incredibly, worries of dire weather proving unfounded. I would loved to have joined them but there was evil ankle plus getting to the Regal Theatre to set up the afternoon's story telling event, in which local worthies told us old tales of the area; and some of these were wondrous indeed, but more of them when I can keep my eyes open.

Then came the prize giving, which I was asked to compere because the theatre director had been wrestling with some stacking chair problem (I have no idea and I was too tired to ask.) It's been a while since I have been on a stage, but the compering went well, the children were suitably happy about being given their prizes and then we watched a play newly written based on a little known story of the area. When I say newly written , I mean it didn't even have a title yet. It went down extremely well, and the director has been back in touch with us re getting funding to develop it. Personally I think that's a great idea, though I am not sure how we can help him.

But Oh My God, I can barely think. Last night I slept but not enough. I got Wordle today on the second try, which just goes to show that luck matters as much as skill.

Come on Boot, you're rubbish today. Close your eyes.

Oh, my heart!!! This is wonderful and so reminiscent of our childhoods that I'm feeling weepy. I thought childhood had gone the way of tablets.

And a storytelling day!!!! I should slip that idea into some ears here. Imagine a bunch of hellbillies waxing poetic about this village or the original guerilla marijuania growers! Hmmmm.

I used to tell the Vasalisa story every Halloween at a women's spiral dance. It was GLORIOUS!
