That edifying comment came from Craig Whittaker, Deputy Chief Whip on the night of the farce, but a Tory MP of 17 years standing gave us less swearing, as much colour and more detail; https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-politics-63320605
But really, to understand the lettuce, this is all we need. https://youtu.be/8ipSGLdMZA
Some tory detesters might see her downfall as almost something to mourn, in so much as in 6 weeks she almost destroyed her party, two months and they'd have been a smoking pile in the ground. Trouble is she was taking the country down with them. People who could have bought a house now can't, and because they can't, rents will join food and fuel in going up up up...
Some energy prices look to be stabilising though, and the pound recovered somewhat almost as soon as she left. No point in levelling the tory party if that means levelling the country. And though I feel for Charles Walker's great indignation mine is also a kind of impatience with his emphasis on damage to 'the party.' What about the damage she's done to the country? Priorities surely! Naturally, as Cincinnatus MKII hoped and planned, his faithful followers are trying to bring him back.
Ugh. It's only 1 pm on Friday and my feelings toward it mirror those of Craig Whittaker.
