I was able to get through a lot yesterday, so good to be free of that dull melancholy that accompanies pain. Just so much better. It hurt again after a while but the relief is intense.
Going out into the world, noticing two things that seem to go together; there are a lot of shortages, including medical supplies for humans and animals alike, and prices, from those same supplies to ordinary foodstuffs,have jumped. It's a bit of an eyebrow raiser.
Making the appointment is not easy either. Second day I have tried, no-one's answering the phone. It's not just these things, but one does get a sense of stuff slowing down, not arriving, not quite working. I know I have lived in London for much of my life, but it's not that kind of comparison. When we first got here nothing was that difficult, this is new.
I know there's a war on, but my mates abroad don't seem to be seeing anything like this. Some stuff's gone up, but I'm not hearing of dramatic price increases out there. This all has something of an odd sense to it.
Meanwhile, my head is still as empty as an old shoe. I have two ideas, just two. And neither are easy or flowing, in fact one strikes me as utter rubbish.
