Apparently not. Apparently the premiums get paid and who knows what the beggars do next. Sit there and drive me mad with taped messages AFAICT. Since I got up I have been trying to get through to 1) The private hospital where I am meant to have an appointment and 2) BUPA for the financial authorisation code. 15 minutes on the phone - when the message suggested a waiting time of two - only to be cut off. I have sent them an email asking for the right information.

They got back to me with an automated email saying I will hear from them within 5 working days.

I could understand this with the NHS, the squeeze is being put on by those who want to see it collapse. The only reason I'm recoursing to this at all is speed. This issue is impacting my life so severely, I must do something right now. Physio's not working, and while I know I would get all the help from the NHS, it would be weeks and weeks. There's no begrudging that from me, but my animal instinct is warning me not to wait, really not to wait. The impact on my weight and mental health is severe, and the finally arrived anti-inflammatories/painkillers are working but nowhere near as well as they did two months ago. Something has to happen and soon. Otherwise I would tell these numpties to gth.

So, to keep my mood up I must keep in mind the lovely remembrance I got yesterday, too private to share but a balm to my heart, always.

And I must step away now, leave this all for another day.
