The bath has not been easy, but the resourcefulness of the Boot won out in the end.
Finding that mountains of bubbles felt nice but were having no effect on the evils of my back, I decided to use the positive power of our little 'mini-spa'...you know, those things that send whooshing jets of water throughout the bath in a sort of sad 'I could have been a jacuzzi' effort. Thing is, ours is situated half way down the bath, and what I wanted was to get the jet stream pummelling my back muscles. So I slid my legs up the tiled wall, leaned back and sort of floated on the mini jet stream, to the horrified awe of watching kitties.

Yes I know those mini-spas are mobile, that those little rubber suckers on their undersides have a purpose. The moment it occurred to me,I leapt to change everything, banged my head with a crunch into the taps and clenched my back muscles deep into concertina mode.

Today is officially cancelled.

Hot water bottle.

I'll bring my back massager thingie with me later if I remember and my heat pad thingie too.

It is probably worth taking some Ibuprofen too if you can stomach them

xx

Thanks! I am sure I will be OK, provided I don't kill myself in attempts to get better fast:-)

Sounds like a trapped nerve. I have one that goes in my neck, and its agony. But a bit of physio soon fixes it, and I have strong painkillers on standby for when it happens. Go to the doctors and get some help, its what they are there for!

Sensible advice, though I must admit I'm a bit wary of my G.P. He's a really lovely man, but he told me and my mole to go away and not come back until Sauron was the size of a penny - with hindsight, it seems that might not have been the wisest thing to do!

So ask to see a different GP. And refuse to leave until they have at least given you some painkillers. His call on Sauron was crap, but presented with someone in obvious pain and discomfort.... Should you get brushed off again, change GP's and file a complaint.

hugs n stuff
