The Harpy Again

A flash of her this time, carrying me close as she flies. She says something about taking me above the cold of the world, but that makes no sense and I say so; beyond the world is the cold of space, no? She smiles and says or thinks at me that she can fly from planet to planet just as she can fly from lighthouse to rocks etc. But still, my mind is on the cold of outer space. She smiles at me and flicks the centre of my forehead with her fingers. Then I am back in my study and the wind is roaring outside. It calms down and the sunshine touches all the leaves on the tree opposite. The leaves tremble, the light on the tops of the leaves is so bright above the shades of green. I see it, it feels good to see things this way. But yes it is intense and I feel very tired after.

I almost forgot she said something about taking me away, and I mentioned Mum and R and Bro, how I can't just leave. She shrugged under those great wings. She doesn't think that's a thing.
