Fortunately, R is OK and no-one else was involved.

He was meant to be going down to London yesterday evening; the roads were greasy and wet and it just happened.
They're leaving poor Beastie til the rush hour dies down, then they'll haul it away and work out just how much work is needed. Poor Russ! He is shocked and very unhappy. He loved that car, his beautiful Mustang! I love what was in that car. As long as he is safe, everything else can wait. Once the business end of it is done I am hoping he can begin to recover, and whatever he needs we'll find.

Oh, poor R. Poor R's Mustang. Glad he's OK, but still.

Thank you for your concern. He aches a lot today but he assures me he doesn't need a check up in A&E. And if he's able to say that with certainty, he's probably right.

Still, to my eye, he is still in shock.

How did I miss this when you first posted it?

R's Mustang really is a most splendid car! I hope it can be restored to its full glory.
