Beautiful day, beautiful sunset, a night more achingly cold than the morning and deep snow on every roof. Winter is here. The only thing in my head is an old irrelevant question; What kind of network would cancel a series like firefly?

the same sort of network that cancels Farscape, Invader zim and any number of good series because the american masses don't like them.

I heard that the network made things hard for themselves by starting the series with the Train episode rather than the pilot. It's a good episode, but there's no point starting the story in the middle! Fear about lack of action, fear that audience responses were not the expected ones (female watchers responded more strongly, males less strongly)...Fox seems to have lacked both bottle and judgement.

By the looks of things Joss Wheedon slept with the wrong person at the wrong time.

Apparently every series he was involved in (Buffy, Angel, FireFly and a couple of pre-prods) had its support yanked pretty much overnight.

*hugs back* Well, Buffy was beginning to creak anyway. He took the high school joke and made real people out of it...and surprise, surprise, it wasn't funny any more. I only saw a couple of episodes of Angel - seemed OK, but it didn't grab me. Firefly really did. I preferred it to Farscape and that's going some.

I agree with you extensively about Buffy.
Aside from evil willow who engenders mischevious theoughts almost as much as you do oh gorgeous one.

Angel should just have been shot with silver bullets then buried up to his neck in holy water and garlic. I loathe that self righteous little toad.

Firefly shows how thing should have been done.
Watch the series, see the film, watch the series again and then shout "Damn you Joss Wheddon!" for various reasons.

I like farscape but as with yourself and angel, it never really grabbed me, I'd enjoy an episode if it was on but I never felt compelled to watch more.

Farscape was muddled for me because whichever channel I was watching it on didn't show the episodes in chronological order; very much the kiss of death for that show. And the muppet's bad habits did not give him credibility; I just wanted to shoot him.

Angel, well, one day maybe I'll sit through them all. Maybe.

(Hmm) Which reminds me, I have Season one of Farscape in a box somewhere, I must actually get around to watching it in order. Possibly with a light gun to hand for the shooting of muppets.

Yes, even Cordelia. She's very pretty, but just not my kind of plastic.

As for hugs Darling girl, as soon as I can work out the logistics I shall deliver lots of them in person, and enjoy every one.

Was rather shocked by the increadible realism of a recent dream which featured your good self in a somewhat surprising manner.

It made me very much aware of missing your company.
