smokingbootis different this year. It looks like it's made from bits of the grinch.
The cats got excited. Ralik went all feral and sat in it swiping claws at anyone who approached. Surya ran off with the decorations, because they are somewhat feathery, due to being made from real owl-feathers in fact. What I wanted was a shamanic, sort of Yggdrasil tree, deep, sensual, good for meditating under with firelight and darkness. What I've got a green plushy in feather boas. It has a moose in the middle and a scruffy looking owl on one side. It needs a bear.
No masks on the tree this year; last year, it looked all terribly Salieri and beautiful - much more so than this years rather strange offering, but I am tired of masks. Next year, when I am ready to be elegant again, perhaps. Actually no, next year, it is down tolarians to be creative, and I will merely serve by hanging baubles. Hopefully the result will be somewhat less shaggy.
There was a life-size singing plastic santa in the garden centre. He smiles and grooves his hips, and does weird hand jive movements, at least I hope that's what they are. If I were Rudolph I'd be on the run by now.
And in wonderful news, for the first time ever, I am going to be a bridesmaid!
