He's back!
May. 1st, 2005 08:44 amLots of love and thanks to
itsjustaname,
thalinoviel and
mitchy for all those positive thoughts and reassuring words.
Yesterday was wretched; We both wandered through rain and foul weather, looking for the little bastard. In despair we left a kitchen window open. At 3 am this morning I was woken by a purring head-butting experience on my pillow. I stroked it absent-mindedly thinking it was Surya; then I opened my eyes and noticed the total blackness of the beast. It was him, our own little "divvil cat," to quote
bad_moon_rising, happy to be home and hungry too.
He cost me so many tears yesterday. Jan sans lj, who had been with us over Friday night, tried to console me by buying me a sunflower, and some purple primroses. Both were lovely, and the primroses were very unusual. The petal edges are slightly lighter, almost silvery, giving the blooms the illusion of being faintly lace-lined.
The other casualty was my birthday surprise. In his attempts to help me out of my desolation,
larians revealed that tickets are bought and everything is arranged for my birthday in July. We are going to Paris for a week!
P.S. Oh yes, and Dr Who was rather good: 'You would make a good dalek.' By the end I didn't know who I felt more sorry for...
