Thoughts of a domesticated tabby

That was a gorgeous night. Beloved Bear and I held a party for ourselves and the house, to thank it for being such a great home, and to apologise for not being around for Yule. We are both going down south, and - I can’t believe I’m saying this – I really don’t feel up to it this year, though I know it will be fantastic. So, with champagne and chocolates and pizza to hand, we toasted the house, the tree, our love and ourselves and settled down to an intimate evening during which, I’m afraid, one or two presents got opened. Will Santa ever forgive us?

We had a lovely evening, but all it has done is highlight the reasons I want to stay here, with my pretty tree and my fire and my pc, just writing and popping out to see chums now and then. This is a very rare mood for me, as I am not a homely soul. I like to roam. But right now, the morning is dark, outside is cold and the house is kind and bright. Get lost, mad world. Waking me up was bad enough. Make me move and I'll scratch you!
