Waking up and starting up

So here I am with this journal. I don't even know why I've got it. A couple of friends have mentioned it to me before, and I've been curious. I like to write,but I am shy about showing my stuff to anybody.

This would be a good place not to be shy, a good place to be anonymous and say what I think, a good place to be unapologetic and over indulgent, a good place not to worry about entertaining anyone, not writing well, not coming across well. And the discipline would do me good.

This is all rubbish of course. I won't stick to it, any more than I have ever stuck to any other diary. But here I am, it has taken me hours to sort this account because I am an inept technophobe, and having got this far, I am instantly stuck! Maybe I'm exhausted by the sheer effort of getting this thing going.I dread having to add little icons and smileys, I just know it will end in tears.

OK, tonight after belly dancing, I will come back to this and try to do it properly!
