Fairy Tales
Feb. 21st, 2015 06:14 pmI found myself watching 'Tangled' yesterday, and then there was Into the Woods today. Very enjoyable! To add to the latest list of great stuff going on, I have been invited to Glastonbury for a stay in Spring. I'll go.
But it has been a very long time since I really felt the fairy tale returning. I wonder how Glastonbury will feel.
See, the problem with the New Age and Angel cards and TV shows and affirmations and this and that and magic groups and covens and paganism is that often there's precious little that's magic about it. I recall Olivia's castle, the strange pagoda on the edge of the woods, bluebells and fairy fields and so many things. The Glasto I remember had pixie clothes and high street shamans and goddesses everywhere...I liked it, especially the chalice well, the tor, Wearyall hill. Will I like it now? It'll be good to see what's changed, apart from me.
