Date: 2015-04-22 12:22 pm (UTC)You can argue the rights and wrongs of not having active patrols in preparation for sinking ships but to say that deliberate policy killed these people is just false.
Or rather, the blame should be placed where it belongs - at the bastards that locked them in the hold.

Date: 2015-04-24 07:17 am (UTC)But I still consider the current gov policy of not contributing to search and rescue missions deplorable, and this justification that people will only stop trying if it becomes even more dangerous is not only inhumane but untrue. The desperate will try anything.
