Nothing much, just stupid stuff.

This was unearthed by the gardeners.

I am torn between terror and a moment's wonder if it is worth anything. This is what comes of watching 'American Pickers' too long.

I think it is made of cement or something. It is also accompanied by a spare pair of gnomish legs indicating that another head/torso is around here somewhere. Strange things have happened in this garden...

Maybe you can hide him underneath something again... he obviously belongs there. :o)

He does... Larians would mercilessly throw him in the bin, but I think he is some dark spirit of the land riding upon his viridian wyrm, concealing knowledge, treasure and magic behind his fearsome smile!

Where can I put him so as not to terrify passing wildlife?

Is the ground deep enough?

I can't help but chuckle at your gnomey woes... in the middle of something fast growing?

We were thinking of putting a pond in. Maybe he and his friend could ride through the reeds like the legend of the Water horse, sometimes a terrible serpent, other times a friendly seeming horse or even a bonny stranger, but always ready to whisk you away to the cold depths of the loch...

Who am I kidding? This gnome could never be a 'bonny stranger'.

You say that, but who knows what bad things would happen if you evicted Mr Gnome from his long-term home. Are you really willing to risk it? Are you...?

Yes, yes I am.

And what's more - I suspect that you already knew this! :)

On a slightly related matter - we really need to arrange a date to host you both in our new place! I will drop you a note re potential dates.

I am not! The gnome must stay... preferably some place where he can't scare the birds or melt the pebbledash!

Second the idea about all getting together!

The Holmes Chapel house came with a gnome. He was quite small and a tad battered, but Gerald - I felt compelled to name him - stayed put. Not sure what Paul did after I moved out, but I hope he's still there.

Whilst I would never knowingly bring a gnome home, I will not evict them that have squatters rights already!

Thirded the get together idea!

Exactly. While not a gnome bringer myself, if the gnome was there before me, I won't kick it out, even if it has a scary face.

I can't imagine a name for it!
