Now that the dress is bought, it's time to think about ways to make myself look better on the big day. Exercise and diet of course; my beautifully radiant sister-in-law-to-be recommends lash extensions rather than mascara and Braggs organic apple cider with 'The Mother' whatever that is. To dye or not to dye my eyebrows? They do look good dyed and shaped rather than plucked, but will it go with auburn hair, or is that just too much going on? Should I even keep my hair auburn? Should I make it more auburn? Should I just keep the brows mousey but well shaped? Not the most flattering for me, but probably less terrifying than a pair of dark bushy eyebrows set against a bright ginger barnet. And just how red should I go, deep, flamey or more cinnamonish, maybe with flecks of gold?

I don't know! It's really complicated! And I have to test it all in advance so that if I am allergic to anything we will know long before D-Day.

Wedding make-up is a bit surreal too; do I want someone to come and do it for me? I am less slap-happy than I was, and though I want to look good,I also want to look like me. A lot of wedding make-up terrifies me. In fact the whole thing does my head in.
I want to look beautiful for the groom and the day. But oh my god, I feel like Miss Congeniality without any hope of turning into Sandra Bullock.
