Nobody wants your peanuts Janet

I love birds. I'm feeding them a lot and they appreciate it, all except the peanuts. Refills of fat balls, suet cakes and seeds are needed pretty much every three days, but they won't touch the nuts. I haven't had to refill that feeder once. These are good bird nuts. There are many sparrows, sparrows like nuts, except mine. I'd go out there and admonish them loudly, but suspect my neighbours already have their doubts about me.
Storm Ciara brought us snow and maddened birds. It got weird. I enjoyed it.

Just once a truly magnificent raven turned up at the side of the house, and flew off on seeing me. Clearly it couldn't hack the crowds.
Storm Dennis is here now, blowing things around, possibly suffering from a little comparison anxiety. There's been some rain and a lot of wind. I watched a magpie blown sideways. It's just not the same.
Work is work. I don't talk about it til it's done and out there, but it's fair to say I'm looking forward to starting other projects and doing a bit of exploring. At the moment I'm a hermit, starting nothing new. Tunnel vision is my thing; I do one project until that project is complete. I'll take breaks for conversations and online snippets, an stop when there is a natural break. Then I start again once the next bit shows itself to me. The result is that other stuff gets neglected while I sit here squinting and my arse grows wider.
