Texted me from an ambulance 5 minutes ago. He's being taken to another hospital for the operation happening this morning, angiogram and stents.

If it gets cancelled again, he'll probably have a cardiac arrest out of sheer annoyance.

Angiogram and stenting is a relatively low-risk intervention, at least here in the States. In fact, patients here are generally discharged from the hospital the very next day!

After the op he texted met to tell me he was alive (!) and then announce he had to go and lie down. Nothing since then, I am assuming he is asleep in hospital, and probably due to be discharged today.
