Last night, Pie chewed his way through the top of the gerbil cage and got out; clearly Number 1 Son is teaching him all he knows. What is wrong with these animals? Are they sith?

Ralik came in last night mewing in a very odd way. Instead of his usually 'eh-eh-ehheheheheh' demands for attention or food, he sang a long clear note like a repeating chime. It was the sound of victory; his prize from somewhere out in the darkness looked like an imploded cuttlefish but was in fact a dog chew. He is very proud of it.

Police checked out on Mum; she's not in the flat, so she's probably in Spain. That's good, I hope.

Maelstrom weekend swiftly approaching. Time to pull myself together and do stuff.

*grins* It won't even have been the offender's dog chew! That chew will have belonged to some totally innocent canine spod! Or do you think Ralik was expressing his wrath at all dog-kind?

There's a certain pitch of mew reserved specially for "hey Mummy, look what I've got!" Whilst with Eponine it all started with a slug, these days I hear that mew and wait for the terrified mouse to come pegging it into the lounge. I just hope Ralik doesn't start on the birdies, cos they really make a mess!

I shudder to think! He hasn't shown that much interest in flying things though - unlike Surya. bad_moon_rising says that when cats hunt birds, they turn into them - they perch and chirp - and it's true with her. We can't open the bedroom windows, because she will go out and try to stalk prey on the sill, daft little puss that she is!
